Charity Fund 'Downside Up' under the auspices of Moscow Government is organizing the exhibition of art works of children with Down Syndrome

The exhibition is held on the 7th - 31st of December 2004
in the "Child's View" Art Gallery

The exhibition will display drawing, applique work and creative panels, made by children with Down Syndrome attending Downside Up, integrated kindergarten № 1465 "Our Home", school for children with disabilities "St.George". The best piece of children's art is the joint painting of children from Downside Up and Art Rehabilitation Centre for Russian Orphans "Maria's Children" . It helps children with Down Syndrome to get the skills of social adaptation, to develop their creative potential and to communicate with other kids.The exhibition slogan "From the first steps in arts - to the creative self-expression" is illustrated by the paintings of Sergey Shestakov, grown up painter with Down Syndrome.
His personal exhibition was recently held with great success in Golytsyn Art Gallery on Staraya Basmannaya Str.The exhibition "Special Child's World" is devoted to the Day of People with Down Syndrome announced on 23rd of November by Down Syndrome European Association.
