Since 1996 the bike ride has been successful in raising close to one million USD and helping over a thousand children with Down syndrome in Russia.
Every year up to one hundred participants from Russia, England, Holland, America and other countries gather in Moscow for the charity bike ride. All the money raised by participants goes directly to fund rehabilitation programs for children with Down syndrome. Corporate sponsors cover the costs of this event.
In 2006 the participants will cycle up to 180 km in Moscow Region through historic Russian villages and past numerous Russian churches. They will experience camaraderie on the road and entertainment in the evenings. There will be organized competition for the corporate teams. The climax of the event is the ride along the Kremlin embankment and finish on Red Square in Moscow where families of Downside Up, friends and journalists will greet the riders.

Our goals in 2006:

· To raise 120 thousand dollars to support the work of our Early Intervention Center for children with Down syndrome in Russia.

· To demonstrate to the general public the possibility of children with Down syndrome.

· To combine efforts with the business sector for the solution of a social problem.

Our tasks:
· To ride 180 êì in 2 days along the Moscow roads.
· To draw 100 participants from different countries of the world.
· To ensure the participation of a team for the parents of children with DS.
· To invite adult participants with DS.
· To organize the participation of a team of children with DS.
· To invite 300 people to the finish in Red Square.

We invite corporate teams and private individuals to take part in this annual event.
