New Format this Year!
The Downside Up Russian Challenge is a charity ski event for corporate teams and private individuals. This annual event raises funds for Russian children with Down syndrome and will take place on 9th February, 2008 at Izmaylovo Lesopark, Moscow from 11am-3pm .
New Location- Izmaylovo Lesopark. (metro: Izmaylovskaya)
Toilets, changing rooms and other facilities in comfortable Downside Up premises (14A, 3rd Parkovaya street) within a 5 minute walk from Izmaylovskaya metro.
Start and Finish line at Downside Up
Individual distance races: 3km or 6km
Corporate teams are permitted 6 members to a team- not 4!
New elements: various tasks in the forest (7 total)
Total track distance for all participants - approx. 6km!
We will try to arrange tracks for both classical and free style skiing, but this will depend on snow conditions.

Ski rental is included in fee - please be sure to fill out the appropriate measurements on the registration form
Participants are welcome to invite families and friends but we encourage a minimum donation of 100 rubles from each supporter to reduce the cost of shashlyk, hot tea, and mulled wine.
Ski fitting for participants who need to borrow skis.

Registration: team captains register their teams and receive start numbers, individual participants can also form a team and get registered or register for individual 3 or 6 km races.

Start of team races, 2 teams will start simultaneously with 5 minute intervals between pairs of teams
After the race the participants can get changed and will be offered mulled wine, hot tea and shashlyk.
